Staff Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Holy Family Hospital provides a wide range of medical services, including delivery services, prenatal and antenatal care, well-women clinic, diabetic clinic for pregnant women, gynecology surgeries, neonatal intensive care for premature babies, and outpatient clinics.
The hospital belongs administratively and financially to the Order of Malta, a religious Order founded in Jerusalem in 1048. Holy Family Hospital is currently seeking to recruit a qualified Staff Nurse to join its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Contract Type:
Fixed-term contract for one year, renewable based on performance and hospital needs.
Job Summary:
The Staff Nurse in the NICU is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns. The role includes continuous monitoring, administering treatments, supporting families, and ensuring the highest standards of neonatal care in alignment with hospital policies and procedures.
Clinical & Professional Duties:
Provide direct and continuous care for newborns in the NICU.
Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and document patient status accurately.
Follow medical orders and NICU protocols precisely.
Ensure proper infection control practices and equipment sterilization.
Respond effectively to emergency situations and critical cases.
Report incidents and communicate effectively with supervisors and medical staff.
Patient & Family Care:
Support and educate parents regarding their infant’s condition and care.
Ensure proper guidance on hygiene and safety measures during visits.
Operational Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the unit and equipment.
Report shortages of supplies and ensure efficient resource use.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
Professional Development:
Engage in continuous learning and training in neonatal care.
Maintain high ethical standards and professionalism at all times.
General Requirements:

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
