Palestine Trade Center (PalTrade) is seeking a Communication Officer to lead the organization’s communication strategies and ensure consistent, effective messaging that strengthens PalTrade’s brand and mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing communication plans, cultivating media relationships, and enhancing stakeholder engagement to increase awareness of PalTrade’s trade promotion efforts.

Below is an overview of the key responsibilities. A more comprehensive list will be determined based on the candidate’s experience.

Responsibilities
1. Strategic Communication and Planning
a. Implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with PalTrade’s strategic goals and trade promotion objectives.
b. Create and manage an integrated editorial calendar covering press releases, social media, newsletters, and special announcements.
c. Collaborate with various teams to identify communication opportunities that spotlight PalTrade’s success stories, impact, and mission.
2. Content Development and Management
a. Write, edit, and coordinate high-quality content for various platforms, including websites, newsletters, social media channels, and press releases.
b. design and production of marketing materials, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
c. Gather stories, testimonials, and insights from PalTrade’s beneficiaries and stakeholders to showcase the organization’s value and achievements.
3. Media Relations and Networking
a. Maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers to effectively promote PalTrade’s initiatives.
b. Organize press conferences, media briefings, and public events to highlight PalTrade’s role in trade development and economic growth.
c. Monitor media coverage to gauge public sentiment and refine strategies accordingly.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
a. Act as a liaison between PalTrade, the private sector, and donors, ensuring clear communication of key messages and opportunities.
b. Engage regularly with partners, members, and stakeholders to solicit feedback and strengthen collaboration.
c. Tailor communication materials for diverse audiences, demonstrating PalTrade’s unique contributions to the Palestinian trade ecosystem.
5. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
a. Track the performance of communication campaigns using metrics (e.g., media coverage, online engagement, event attendance).
b. Use data to refine communication strategies, improve outreach efforts, and enhance brand visibility.
c. Prepare periodic reports and presentations for leadership, highlighting achievements and lessons learned.

The Ideal Candidate Would Have
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• At least 3-5 years of proven experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, ideally within the international development or trade sector.
• Demonstrated expertise in crafting communication strategies and producing engaging content across multiple channels.
• Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills in both Arabic and English.
• Proficiency in digital marketing, social media management, and media relations.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, aligning communication efforts with PalTrade’s broader mission.

Essential Abilities and Qualifications
• Familiarity with branding, storytelling, and effective stakeholder engagement.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
• Capacity to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
• Adaptability to evolving organizational needs and priorities.


Additional Skills and Qualifications
• Experience with design and multimedia software (e.g., Adobe Suite).
• Knowledge of or background in economic development and trade promotion.
• Certification or formal training in communications or public relations.
