Job Title Physiotherapist

Report To Rehabilitation Supervisor
Location T1 & T2 Hospital
MAIN PURPOSE
Following medical prescription, plan and carry out individual treatment programmes, by assessing patients’ physical state, in order to maintain, improve or rehabilitate the physical well-being of the patient and prevent physical handicaps.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and identify patients’ rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Provide physiotherapy interventions including therapeutic exercise, mobility and functional training, manual therapy, positioning, strengthening, stretching, and pain-management interventions.
• Assess mobility, functional abilities, and the need for assistive devices, and make appropriate referrals within the multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor and document patient progress using appropriate clinical documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to coordinated patient-centred care.
• Provide education and training to patients, caregivers, and other healthcare staff on safe mobility, exercises, positioning, and prevention of complications.
• Identify patients requiring referral to other rehabilitation or medical services.
Support physiotherapy and rehabilitation activities across inpatient and outpatient services as required.
• Maintain professional standards, patient confidentiality, infection prevention and control, and safeguarding requirements.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, data collection, reporting, and monitoring of rehabilitation activities.
• Support training and capacity-building activities for rehabilitation staff and other relevant healthcare workers.
• Ensure appropriate and safe use of physiotherapy equipment and report equipment or supply needs.
• Work flexibly according to service requirements, including supporting different rehabilitation locations and shifts when required.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or an equivalent recognized qualification, with a professional practice licence..
EXPERIENCE
• Experience working in physiotherapist in NGO,INGO or MOH
• Experience working in an outpatient orthopaedic clinic.
• Experience in delivering training sessions.
• Experience in assessing needs for and providing splints and casts.
NOTE: The responsibilities mentioned above are not exhaustive and other work may be requested depending on the needs of daily work.
The work of UKMED is characterized by great flexibility and mobility. This is all the more true as this position can evolve over time and the imperatives of the Clinic. As a result, the employee may be required to perform other duties and other duties on the UKMED project in GAZA.
Any breach is punishable by disciplinary measures.
